My name is Sonia Ruiz and I am the Program Director for The Pharmacy Professionals. I have been a Pharmacy Technician for over 20 years. I am both State Licensed and Nationally Certified as a Pharmacy Technician. I began my career in Pharmacy at Mountain Plaza Pharmacy, a small mom and pop Pharmacy in Upland, Ca. I then completed my education to become a Pharmacy Technician and worked at Loma Linda University Medical Center for many years. I specialized in IV therapy and chemotherapy preparations. I also had the great experience of working for UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, Ca. This position taught me great new skills and helped me to improve my overall skills as a Pharmacy Technician. I have been a Pharmacy Technician Instructor for 9 years now. I love being in education and having the opportunity to teach my skills to others and change students lives through guidance and knowledge. I have been with The Pharmacy Professionals since their doors opened in 2008. I am also a IV/Chemotherapy technician at Redlands Community Hospital. The field of Pharmacy is my passion and I could not see myself working in any other field. As the Program Director for The Pharmacy Professionals, I am always open to help any student in need. I am always available to answer questions and make your education with The Pharmacy Professionals a great and memorable experience.
